Egyptrixx makes celestial club music; jeep jams for a Saturn desert. Over the years his tracks have called on diverse styles from booty house to dubstep, but all of them share an exhilarating wrong-but-right tension – a shifting balance between melodic and dissonant, rapturous and antisocial. Night Slugs' second release, this EP is a prototype of Egyptrixx' sound.

At 122bpm, the EP’s lead track “The Only Way Up” subtle, hypnotic, mesmerising, punishing… nothing sounds quite like it. “Everybody Bleeding” is violently, searingly synthetic - a hint at his later synth Brutalism.

The digital release includes three special remixes:?Hyperdub’s Ikonika reinterprets “The Only Way Up” as a soaring, blissed-out synth’n'bass.?Kingdom goes in hard on “Everybody Bleeding” with a ballroom club mix, haunted by original vocal from Shyvonne.?Finally Cubic Zirconia take “The Only Way Up” to dreamy new territory, Tiombe Lockhart provides the EP’s second original vocal on a remix!"
